A Lenten Retreat for Teachers
“The Teacher Who Loves The Lord”

Luke's Gospel of the Father and of Jesus

First Saturday of the Month - 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Every first Saturday of the month, Father Francis Carpinelli will guide us through St. Luke's Gospel. We will learn about what Luke, the Evangelist, really believed about Jesus by the way he presents the motifs and themes of the beliefs of early Christians and by how he presents what Jesus himself believed and taught.

ASHES TO EASTER

The Paulist Center is offering a two evening Lenten retreat. Ted Schmidt is the presenter and facilitator. These evenings will discuss scriptural and theological understandings of Lent. These sessions will help you in your Lenten spiritual journey. The presentations are on Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m.

The Tallis Choir - Victoria Tenebrae
of Good Friday

The Tallis Choir of Toronto presents Tomás Luis de Victoria’s dramatic 1611 Office of the Holy Week for the Royal Convent of Madrid. Tenebrae (which translates as “shadows” or “darkness”) is celebrated on the last three days of Holy Week, and the performance recreates the alternation between chanting and polyphony characteristic of the service.

Now in its 32nd season, Tallis Choir, a chamber ensemble, has earned a reputation for innovative programming and polished performances. Its repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to contemporary choral music, with special attention to Renaissance sacred music, particularly Italian and English masterpieces of the sixteenth century.

Taizé Prayer
