2007 gifts to our parish: The 2006 federal budget eliminated the capital gains tax on donations of listed securities and mutual funds. As a result, these gifts have become very attractive to parishioners who plan their annual giving. In our parish and all over the Archdiocese, more parishioners are taking advantage of this major tax savings for their parish offertory.

For more information about making a gift of listed securities or mutual funds, please call the parish office, or contact Paul Nazareth at the Archdiocese
(416-934-3400, ext. 561). You can also find information at www.stewardshiptoronto.org.

Leaving Discouragement Behind
Finding New Hope
Southern Ontario Pilgrimage
to Taizé Montreal
April 27-29, 2007

A number of Canadians who have been to Taizé or taken part in a Taizé weekend in Canada have been asking: "Would it be possible to organize a weekend in Canada that would bring together young adults from various parts of the country and the U.S.?" Such a weekend is being planned for April 27-29 in Montreal.

The OCY in cooperation with the dioceses of St. Catharines and Hamilton are arranging a pilgrimage to this weekend for young adults ages 18 to 35. Registration is $100 and includes: coach transportation, Taizé Montreal registration, simple accommodation, and meals as outlined by the local organizers. The registration deadline is March 16, 2007.

For more detailed information and to register, visit OCY's site: www.ocytoronto.org.

Be a part of renewing the
Eucharistic life in the Archdiocese!

Each parish has been asked to send two delegates to the 49th International Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City, 2008.

As pilgrims, the delegates will take part in a unique experience that seeks to deepen an appreciation of the mystery of the Eucharist. This is not only for each participant, but is part of a much deeper renewal of the Eucharistic life in every parish across the Archdiocese.

If you haven't chosen your delegates, then it is time to do so. Send two parishioners (18+) who will take an active role in the faith formation of the whole parish.
